Dr. Flaton is a general pediatrician with a special area of interest and training in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Her work in San Luis Obispo County includes ten years as a general pediatrician at the Family Care Center during which time she co-founded their ADHD clinic. In 2003 she opened a private practice, fully dedicated to the care of patients with ADHD and related disorders. In August of 2011, her practice evolved to become the Flaton ADDept Center. Dr. Flaton received her Baccalaureate, Cum Laude, in Mathematics at the University of Delaware and Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completing her Pediatric Residency training at the University of North Carolina in 1990. Dr. Flaton is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is the mother of a beautiful daughter and enjoys active hobbies including yoga, swimming and hiking, as well as reading, gardening and camping.
