Social Eating
Social connection is one of the strongest ways to offset some of the many negative symptoms of ADHD. We use social connections to feel good, understand ourselves, have a sense of purpose in life, and to grow.
There was a time when humans regularly shared meals together. Our busy lives in modern times and the 24-7 nature of many of our lives can make sharing meals with others a challenge.
"Breaking bread together" is considered to be one of the strongest bonding experiences for people. Enjoying each other's company makes the food experience a healthier one.
