Technology
We are living in the absolute best time to have ADHD. Imagine living last century or even the beginning of this century when we didn't have smartphones and apps to help with timekeeping, focus keeping, creativity, learning and socializing.
Technology allows us to create an "exterior brain" in a sense. We can use the functionality of time management, idea management, data management, and productivity apps to create a structure for our sometimes daydreamy and often hyper-focused creative problem-solving brains.
Here are some apps which could enhance your productivity and free you up to be the most awesome human possible:
Rescue Time - runs in the background on computers and mobile devices and tracks time spent on applications and websites. We can receive weekly reports on our technology usage.
Focus Booster - uses the Pomodoro technique to help you overcome distractions, maintain focus, stay fresh and still finish work on time.
Evernote - is a free productivity tool that allows you to capture all your ideas, thoughts and images in many different ways, eg with voice, notes or images.
Toggl - is a great alternative to time-sheets if you need to track how much time you spend on different projects. Effective time management starts with being clear on exactly how much time you actually spend on your projects and tasks and then analyze how you can manage them more effectively.
Listastic - helps you manage all to-do lists in one place. You can use color codes for immediate, later, and completed.
Siri - The advent of the voice responsive digital personal assistant is a game changer for many of us.
